Microsoft Office 2007 is Microsoft's brand new version of it's extremely popular Office suite.  This tutorial shows how to install it.  In this tutorial, I used Office Home and Student, but the steps are the same for the other versions.

1.  Open the package and place the CD in your CD and/or DVD drive.

2.  It will probably start Setup, but if it doesn't, open My Computer, right-click on the drive you placed it in and click AutoPlay

3.  Wait while it loads files, then type in your Product Key (should be in the package).  You do not have to type it in right away if you cannot for whatever reason, but I would recommend it.  Notice that you do not need to press Shift (or Caps Lock) or type in the hypens.  Then, click Continue.

4.  Read the license terms and make sure that you agree with them before checking the box and clicking Continue.

5.  Choose whether to install it with the default settings or to Customize the installation.  I would recommend customizing it.  If you do not, skip to step 10.

6.  On the Installation Options tab, choose which features you would like.  If you are unsure of what a feature is used for, look on Microsoft's Office site.

7.  On the File tab, choose the installation drive and folder that you would like to install Office to.  Click Browse if necessary.

8.  If you wish, type in your name and/or organization.

9.  Click Install Now and please wait as Office 2007 installs.  Depending on the product and selected features, it may take a while.

10.  You may then go to the Office site and check for product updates, which I suggest doing.
